Transcription App is freemium. The free mode is not a trial: it is free forever and transcribes complete recordings, with no duration limit, using Whisper Base. A subscription unlocks the more advanced models and a few extra features.
What is free, and what a subscription adds
Free, forever:
- Transcription of complete recordings, with no duration limit, using Whisper Base
- Unlimited projects, the queue, speaker segmentation and recognition
- Transcript editing, notes, search and the subtitle editor
- Exports to .txt, .json and .srt, transcript imports and full-storage backups
- Your existing work stays accessible if a subscription ends
With a subscription:
- The other models: Whisper Large Turbo, Parakeet v3, Whisper Medium and Whisper Small
- Creating subprojects (nested projects)
- Exporting and importing project archives
- Word (.doc) exports of transcripts and notes
- WebVTT (.vtt) subtitle exports, which keep per-subtitle styling
How to get a subscription
- Click the floating gear icon to open Settings.
- Scroll to the Subscription section.
- Enter your email address in the email field.
- Click « Register Email ».
- Click « Buy Subscription » to open the purchase flow and complete the purchase.
How to activate your subscription
- Click the floating gear icon to open Settings.
- In the Subscription section, enter your email address in the email field.
- Click « Register Email ».
- If prompted, enter the 6-digit code sent to your email and click « Verify ».
- Click « Check Subscription » to confirm your subscription status. The status pill will update when your subscription is confirmed.
Note: Use the same email you used for purchase when registering. Check your spam folder if the verification code does not arrive. You can click « Resend Code » to get a new code if needed.
Managing your subscription
- Use « Manage Subscription » if a manage URL is available to change billing or plan details.
- Use « Unlink Device » to detach the current machine from your subscription.
- Use « Reset all devices » if you reach the device limit and need to start fresh. A reset link is sent to your registered email and expires in 2 hours.
- Use « Clear » to remove subscription state from the app on this device.
